Older than many of the other members of his clan as evidenced by the many wrinkles on his face, Anet acts as the head of the spiritualist pachyderms. Despite being just as forgetful as the other Elephants, Anet is very wise and able to see things that others can't. He also possesses the ability to sometimes see visions of the future and as such can make predictions which are always right.
Like all Elephants he is a pacifist who believes in meditation more than violence and prefers to let nature take its course. The one thing that he and all the other Elephants never forget is that there is a delicate balance to everything in nature.
When the ThunderCats arrive in the Elephant Village searching for the Spirit Stone, the Elephants want to help but are unable to dues to their poor memory so the ThunderCats search themselves. Upon seeing Lion-O struggling to use the Sword of Omens' "Sight Beyond Sight", Anet advises him to go to the enchanted Forest of Magi Oar, a place where the sword's powers would be amplified.
Anet also helps Lion-O learn valuable life lessons such as seeing the big picture and about the importance of the delicate balance prevalent in nature. He also told Lion-O of a rather disturbing vision he had of Tygra betraying him just before the two brothers entered the Astral Plane.
Despite practising non-violence most of the time, the Elephants to fight when it is necessary and they did so when helping the ThunderCats fend off Grune and the Lizard Army who had besieged their village. Anet and the Elephants also came to the ThunderCats' aid in Avista and helped them fight off Mumm-Ra.
Like all the Elephants, Anet has massive strength. One blow from his trunk can flatten an entire army. A stomp of his gigantic foot can create huge tremors to throw his opponent off balance.
Anet's greatest weakness is his poor memory which often causes more problems to others than to him.
