Arctic Salt is a special type of salt that has extreme freezing properties. This crystalline compound is owned by Mumm-Ra and he uses it along with ThunderCatnip to manufacture the Freezon Crystals. The Arctic Salt is what gives the Freezon Crystals their icy abilities. Mum-Ra stores his Arctic Salt in a special salt shaker that has a dog-shaped head as its lid.
