Brimstar is a reddish planet and the home and base of operation of Mon*Star and his Mob.
It is actually a hollow planet and the villains live inside it. The way to access the interior is through a large star shaped hole in the surface of the planet. This hole also allows beams from the MoonStar to enter the core of the planet to reach Mon*Star's Transformation Chamber and change him into his more powerful, armored form.
Brimstar also has massive rocket engines fitted into its crust. These are operated from a control center inside the planet, usually manned by Yes-Man. Firing these rockets causes the entire planet to rotate to the desired angle, allowing its opening to be directly aligned with the MoonStar. Thus Mon*Star can transform at any time, irrespective of the position of Brimstar or the MoonStar in relation to each other.
Mon*Star has also set up a magnetic and electronic interference around Brimstar as a defense mechanism. This prevents any sort of electrical surveillance to be conducted, even by Tally-Hawk.
The only living thing on the surface of Brimstar is the gigantic being known as the Planet Eater. It is a massive opening in the crust of the planet with raging fires burning inside it. It opens up to devour any spaceships that the Mob bring to it. This powers its fires, allowing it to destroy any planet that Mon*Star wants it to.
