CBBC

CBBC (short for Children's BBC) is a British children's television brand owned by the BBC and aimed for children aged from 6 to 15. The first season of ThunderCats aired on this channel in the UK.

BBC1 introduced the two episodes, Exodus and The Unholy Alliance, on 2 January 1987 before subsequent episodes followed on Thursdays until 22 October 1987, ending with The Rock Giant.

The show returned on 10 September 1990 with Lion-O's Anointment First Day: The Trial of Strength and continued to air on Mondays, concluding with Fond Memories on 20 May 1991, following a repeat of the Rankin/Bass animated film The Flight of Dragons the weekend prior. After that, the show went into repeats on both BBC1 and BBC2 throughout the early 90s until the broadcast rights fell into obscurity.
