The Chain of Loyalty is one of the pieces of the Treasure of Thundera. The chain is essentially a golden necklace with five cameos. Each cameo has a picture in it with the central one showing the ThunderCats insignia while the remaining four showing pictures of Panthro, Tygra, Cheetara and the ThunderKittens.
The chain is a very valuable item to the ThunderCats because as long as it is intact, unity and loyalty will prevail among the ThunderCats. As soon as this deceptively delicate ornament is broken, so will the bond between the ThunderCats.
Mumm-Ra once managed to gain possession of the Chain of Loyalty and while Lion-O was trying to take it back from him, he accidentally broke it causing the ThunderCats to turn on each other and fight among themselves. Only when Lion-O used the Sword of Omens to rejoin the chain did the ThunderCats return to their normal selves.
