Charr-Nin is a powerful and evil genie who lives in the Great Golden Harp on Third Earth. He has a middle-eastern skin tone, wears a red vest and a white turban. Not much is known about his origin but he does reveal that he is a prisoner of his harp and would like nothing more than to be free of it.
WilyKit and WilyKat are the first ones who accidentally discover the Great Golden Harp deep in an underground pit. By playing it they release Charr-Nin who promises to grant their wishes. Thrilled, they decided to gift the harp to Lion-O and take it with them to Cats Lair.
Unfortunately, Mumm-Ra learns of the harp and of the genie and by taking on the form of a harmless Bolin, he infiltrates Cats Lair. Targeting Charr-Nin's desire for freedom, Mumm-Ra agrees to free the genie if he destroys the ThunderCats first. Charr-Nin agrees.
The powerful genie first imprisons Lion-O and the ThunderKittens at the center of Third Earth. When the other ThunderCats arrive to the rescue they too are captured by Charr-Nin. However, when Mumm-Ra refuses to fulfill his promise of freeing Charr-Nin even after the latter did his part, the genie attacks Mumm-Ra and the two engage in a ferrocious battle that brings down the entire cave in which they are in.
It is not known if Charr-Nin survived or not but he is never seen again.
Strengths[]
Charr-Nin has almost limitless magical powers. Not only can he conjure up objects to fulfil his masters' wishes, he can also teleport anybody anywhere and fire powerful energy blasts.
Weaknesses[]
Charr-Nin's overconfidence in his own abilities and powers combined with his desire to be free of his harp are two weaknesses that make the genie susceptible to defeat.
Weapons & Equipment[]
Charr-Nin does not posess any external weapons and instead relies solely on his magical powers to fight any opponent.
His only accessory is the Great Golden Harp of which he is a prisoner.
