Official Summary[]
Panthro is getting a little fed up with having to fix things around the Cats' Lair constantly, which is unfortunate because the ThunderCats are about to be attacked by an unstoppable drilling robot, and he's gonna break everything!
Story[]
Inside the Cats Lair, Panthro has just finished making repairs to the ThunderTank when the other ThunderCats bring him more stuff to fix. Cheetara has damaged the ThunderTread with her fast running,the ThunderKittens have damaged the ThunderFridge, Tygra has damaged the ThunderSecurity Camera and Lion-O has broken his blow dryer.
Suddenly, warning alarms go off and the ThunderCats notice large drill holes all over the lair. They locate the culprit responsible for all the holes, a robot named Driller. After an intense chase, the ThunderCats succeed in stopping the Driller from reaching the Thundrillium Core, damaging which could cause the entire lair to explode.
Talking with the Driller, the Cats learn that the Driller is merely drilling in order to search for diamonds, which he needs to keep his drill bits sharp, which he needs to drill for more diamonds. Comparing Driller's life purpose to that of his shampoo, Lion-O inadvertently causes the Driller to become depressed. While trying to cheer up the Driller, Panthro too becomes equally despondent.
A week passes by and the Cats Lair is in complete disarray, thanks to Panthro having given up on fixing things. Even the shower curtain has been turned into a Jump Pad. Cheetara suggests asking the Berbils to help them fix the lair but Tygra reveals that he tried that but they are busy with another project. Turns out the Berbils' other project is helping the Mutants build Castle Plun-Darr.
Hoping that he can change Panthro back to his old self, Lion-O starts breaking things around the lair. In doing so, he accidentally disrupts the Thundrillium Core. Jumping into action, Panthro rewires the Driller (who is idling his time away watching the "Building with Berbils" TV show) so that he will be happy forever. Panthro and the Driller then make their way to the Thundrillium Core and stabilize it before it explodes. With the day saved, a happy Driller bids farewell to the ThunderCats and teleports away.
