Mumm-Ra's Tomb Fortress was one of the first ThunderCats playsets produced in the second series of ThunderCats toys by LJN Toys. The playset was based on the original 1980s cartoon version of Mumm-Ra's Tomb located inside the Black Pyramid.

Features[]

Battle-Matic Action: The second largest toy in the LJN ThunderCats line after the LJN Cats Lair, the Tomb Fortress also had its own set of unique action features, the main one being the "Transformation Chamber" located in the skull. The rotating segment of the chamber could hold two figures, one in the front and one in the back. Twisting it would give the illusion of one figure (LJN Mummy Mumm-Ra) "transforming" into another (LJN Mumm-Ra.

The eyes and the teeth of the giant skull glowed in the dark. The two statues included with the playset also had moving arms, tail and head. The playset came with the Mail Away Exclusive Mummy Mumm-Ra action figure. None of the Tomb Fortress' features required batteries to function.
