Leland Jay "Lee" Schneider is an American filmmaker, writer, documentary producer, blogger and journalist.
A man of many talents, Lee was born in 1956 to Alfred R. Schneider of Garrison, New York and the late Jane H. Schneider. After completing his education, he began his career as a freelance writer, writing stories for animated TV series such as ThunderCats and SilverHawks among others. He even wrote for "Good Morning America" and "Disney".
He then delved into production, serving as producer for Dateline NBC, and the History Channel, and executive producer for TLC, Discovery Health, Bravo, Food Network and Reelz Channel. He then founded "DocuCinema", a media production company. Lee has written, produced, directed and edited documentaries for The History Channel, Discovery Health Channel, The Learning Channel, Bravo, Food Network, Court TV (tru tv), ReelzChannel, A&E and many corporate clients.
Lee is the founder of "Red Cup Agency", a public relations and creative agency serving startups and entrepreneurs by building online culture and user community. He teaches media and crowdfunding for the USC School of Architecture, where he is a member of the faculty. He teaches business marketing fundamentals at General Assembly in Los Angeles. He is the founder of Digital Fundraising School, an online crowdfunding academy teaching media-makers, entrepreneurs and tech visionaries how to succeed at crowdfunding.
He continues to blog regularly as well as write for "The Huffington Post", "Techli", and "Medium".
