Midnight Woods is dense forest on Third Earth. The growth of tress and vegetation is so dense that the forest has very little sunlight penetrating it and as a result is always dark, hence its name. It is said that "Shadow Robber" lives in the Midnight Woods and attacks and robs anyone who passes through the woods.
Mumm-Ra, in the guise of a Troll, once used the poor visibility in the Midnight Woods to trick Lion-O and Tygra into attacking each other. This action brought on them the Curse of Balthaz and caused the Sword of Omens to break in two.
