Nemex is the ruthless jailer of the Astral Prison . Resembling a troll, this four armed, three-eyed alien is a scary sight. His purple skin, white hair and a high-pitched rasping voice only add to his fearsome persona. He resides in the Astral World and imprisons people in his prison so that he can drain all the knowledge and wisdom from his captives.

To satisfy his hunger for knowledge, Nemex imprisons the spriti of Jaga and intends to extract all his wisdom even if the task takes him all eternity. Fortunately for Jaga, Lion-O manages to reach the Astral World and succeeds in both defeating Nemex as well as freeing Jaga. While escaping, the two ThunderCats also free another prisoner, an old wizard known as Brodo . Grateful for being saved form the clutches of Nemex, Brodo uses his magic to transport Lion-O back to Third Earth . 

Nemex is one of the minor villains in the ThunderCats cartoon series and only appeared in one episode.

Strengths

While normally appearing as a short unimposing creature, Nemex can transform himself into a giant when facing an opponent. He also possesses the ability to shoot powerful laser beams from his eyes and his fingertips making him a formidable foe.

Weaknesses

Despite his impressive powers, Nemex is rather weak when it comes to engaging in long battles. Also when attacked with an equally powerful energy blast like that from the Sword of Omens, Nemex quickly surrenders and shrinks down to his normal size.
