Phosphorus is a massive barren area of land on Third Earth. One of the many deserts located on the planet, the Phosphorus Desert is unique in that its sand is incredibly hot, often referred to as the "burning sands". Due to this, traversing this wasteland is a very difficult if not impossible ordeal.
When the ThunderCats were trying to rescue Ro-Bear Belle from Mumm-Ra as well as to stop him from releasing Ta-She from her prison, they took different routes to reach Mount Anguish. Crossing the Phosphorus Desert was the path that Cheetara took. Her super speed enabled her to cross the burning hot sand without getting burned.
