Ratar-O is one of the members of the Mutants. He was the commander of the Mutants back on Plun-Darr. During his rule, Slithe used to work in the Mutant Field Kitchens. Later when the Mutants came to Third Earth, Slithe took over the role of the leader of the Mutants. However, when Ratar-O arrived on Third Earth as well, he took over command of the Mutants for a short while. The Mutants all despise him, especially Slithe. The only exception is Vultureman who prefers Ratar-O over Slithe and seems to be exceptionally loyal to Ratar-O, often acting as his co-pilot.
After suffering defeat a the hands of the ThunderCats, Ratar-O left the Mutants to go his own way. Later on the tyrannical Ratar-O reappeared to once again attack the ThunderCats when they were searching for the three Thunderian refugees Lynx-O, Bengali, and Pumyra. He kidnapped Snarf and kept him prisoner aboard the RatStar.
He had an ancestor known as Ratilla the terrible who used to wield the powerful Sword of Plun-Darr. Ratilla once tried to steal the Treasure of Thundera but was stopped by a young Jaga who banished him for good.
Strengths[]
Ratar-O is far more experienced and competent than the other Mutants at planning strategies and coordinating the Mutants in his evil schemes. He is also more intelligent than the other Mutants.
Weaknesses[]
Ratar-O is arrogant and over-confident in his skills as a military commander which usually end up being his own undoing. He has a very short temper and quickly becomes enraged especially at the incompetence of his fellow Mutants.
He also relies almost entirely on his weapons and vehicles, and without them cannot face any opponent, usually preferring to retreat.
Weapons & Equipment[]
Ratar-O wields two short but powerful sais known as the Rat's Eyes. They are incredibly powerful and able to levitate enemies as well as deliver a powerful jolt of energy.
He pilots the spaceship known as the RatStar which is a state-of-the-art flying vehicle with superior firepower including the destructive Varicannon.
