River of Doom is a treacherous river that flows underground, beneath Mumm-Ra's Pyramid. The source of the river is unknown but it passes near Maftet's Temple and flows all the way to right underneath Mumm-Ra's Tomb Chamber.
The river is full of danger at every turn. Not only does it have very fast flowing waters, but it is also home to a number of strange evil creatures. And since the river is right below Mumm-Ra's Pyramid, he has absolute control over it, being able to conjure up any kind of beings in it. Some of the dangers that plague the river include the phantom Boatman, a thick, living, choking fog, a living ceiling, and an Incubi.
