The Ruins of Kaal are ruins that are located on New Thundera. The Crystal Scepter was found within these ruins. Not much is known about these ruins like what they originally were before becoming ruins, if there are any beings that live there, or if there are other valuable items to be found there.
Once when Panthro and some of the other ThunderCats returned from their exploratory trip to New Thundera, they brought presents for the ThunderCats who couldn't accompany them. One of those presents was the Crystal Scepter which they obtained from the Ruins of Kaal. Panthro presented the Crystal Scepter to Tygra, who having just broken free from the dangerously addictive power of the Keystone, another crystal, jokingly asked Panthro if he had anything in wood instead.
