Official Blurb[edit | edit source]
In a distant galaxy, the world of Thundera is in crisis. The planet's structure has become unstable and is near collapse. With their destruction imminent, Thundera's denizens--known as the Thundercats--escape in a spaceship and plot a course for a new home. While in transit, the Thundercats are attacked by evil mutants and their craft is irreparably damaged. Jaga, the eldest Thundercat, sacrifices himself in order to pilot the ship safely to its destination: Third Earth.

Notes/Trivia[edit | edit source]
- The first three episodes are the syndicated versions. These feature several cuts integral to the story and were originally a movie length pilot.
- Season 1, Volume 1 was recalled when it was discovered that the second episode, "The Unholy Alliance" was missing its background musical score, and a corrected version was released in its place.
- The Region 1 DVDs' episodes The Unholy Alliance, Berbils, The Thunder-Cutter and Dimension Doom were all missing their Title Cards. This mistake was corrected in the Region 2 DVD release.
UK Release[edit | edit source]
- The Season 1 Volume 1 DVD was released in the UK (PAL Version) on January 15, 2007
