The Seven Network is a major Australian commercial free-to-air television network. It is owned by Seven West Media Limited, and is one of the five main free-to-air television networks in Australia. The network's headquarters are located in Sydney.
The Seven Network premiered ThunderCats in a weekend morning slot on 6 September 1986, followed by SilverHawks on 4 July 1987. These two series were moved to a weekday morning slot later on. Although most of Australia got ThunderCats as early as 1986, Victoria did not receive the series until 22 July 1989.
According to one Australian viewer, ThunderCats episodes were shown on the Seven Network with the prototype Rankin/Bass Telepictures Corporation logo as recently as the early 1990s.
