Spidera is a giant spider queen who rules and resides in the Kingdom of Webs, deep in the heart of Third Earth. She has the ability to shoot out extremely strong and sticky webs as well as communicate with other spiders via telepathy and make them do her bidding. She is capable of vocalizing very simple words and the only word she ever utters is "Thunder-Food", referring to Snarf.

When Spidera hatched from her cocoon, the Ancient Spirits of Evil told Mumm-Ra to use her to destroy the ThunderCats. Mumm-Ra then proceeded to transform into a tiny "DiamondFly" and went to Lion-O, pretending to ask for help. Mumm-Ra then mesmerized Lion-O and tried to lure him into Spidera's domain. Lion-O snapped out of his trance just in time but Snarf got captured by one of Spidera's minions and Lion-O went to rescue him in the Kingdom of Webs.

Spidera was eventually defeated with the help of all the ThunderCats who attacked her relentlessly in a titanic battle.
