Jackalman was one of the ThunderCats action figure produced by Super7 Toys as part of their "Ultimates" line. The figure was based on the original 1980s cartoon version of Jackalman. The figures stood 7 inches tall and had multiple points of articulation as well as having a number of accessories. It was one of the four figures produced in Wave 1 of the toyline.

ThunderCats Bullet Point Features[]

1. Poseable limbs, head and torso: The figure has 13 points of articulation (neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, waist, hip, knees, ankles). The articulation allows the figure to be posed in a number of action stances.

ThunderCats Bullet Point Accessories[]

1. Interchangeable hands: The figure came with one pair of extra hands that could be swapped.

2. Club: The figure came with Jackalman's signature wooden club. Made of brown plastic, the club was similar in design to the one that came with the LJN Jackalman.

3. Battle Axe: The figure also came with a Battle Axe that Jackalman had used in a few episodes of the show.

4. Mutant Net Gun and Two Small Guns: Included with the figure was the rifle-like net gun that Jackalman used to capture his opponents in the cartoon show. Two small guns were also included.

5. Angry Head: The figure came with an additional head with an angry expression that could be swapped with the normal head.

ThunderCats Bullet Point Packaging[]

Jackalman came packaged in a window box with a clear plastic front. The window box itself comes packaged inside an black shipper box with Mumm-Ra's two-headed snake logo printed on it in.

ThunderCats Bullet Point Comparison with the Mattel Jackalman[]

Jackalman was one of the Mattel ThunderCats figures that was re-released by Super7 after the former cancelled their line. While the two figures were essentially the same, there were some minor differences between the Ultimates Jackalman and the Mattel Jackalman:

  • Additional gun accessories
  • Additional head

ThunderCats Bullet Point Production Errors[]

The following errors apply to the Version 1 release and were corrected by the Wave 1 Booster Pack and the Version 2 release

  • Neck fur missing central paint application
  • Guns incorrectly black with silver not purple

Bulk deliveries of Version 2 stock direct from Super7 were found to have multiple layers of tape on the top of the inner box suggesting Version 1 stock was reworked by Super7 to correct production errors.

Both the Mattel and Super7 versions have upper calves reversed which can be swapped by warming his legs in warm water then removing the parts using common modelling tools however no instructions were provided by either toy company.
