The Sycorax is a powerful ancient dinosaur-like creature that existed on Third Earth a long time ago.
As part of his plan to destroy the ThunderCats, Mumm-Ra pours the ashes of the Sycorax into the Well of Souls and then invokes the Ancient Spirits of Evil to resurrect the Sycorax and imbue his soul into the demonoid creature.
The mighty monster, armed with a bone plated armor on its back and head, attacks the ThunderCats whose weapons appear to have little effect on it. During the battle, a bottle of Miracle Elixir that Ponzi had sold to Lion-O, breaks and the resulting fumes appear to have a temporary paralyzing effect on the beast.
Before the Sycorax can awaken again, the ThunderCats rush to assist Ponzi in brewing some more of his elixir using the leaves of the rare Caracara Tree. Unfortunately, Ponzi's giant caterpillar Lucy eats up all the leaves.
As the Sycorax attacks again, the ThunderCats try bravely to fight it off but their efforts appear to be in vain. Just before the Sycorax can lunge at the Cats, Lucy, who has now metamorphosized into a giant butterfly attacks the Sycorax. Infused with the power of the Caracara leaves, Lucy crystallizes the Sycorax. As the mound of crystals shatter, Mumm-Ra emerges in his raven from and flies away abck to his Black Pyramid.
Strengths[]
The Sycorax is a massive and extremely strong beast. Its skin is virtually immune to all kinds of attack and the bony plated armor on its back and head give it even more protection.
It is also armed with rows of sharp teeth and massive claws on its arms and legs.
Weaknesses[]
The Sycorax's only weakness are the Caracara leaves. Exposure to a small amount of their essence renders the beast temporarily paralyzed while a large dose causes it to crystallize completely.

Trivia[]
- The design of the Sycorax appears to have been inspired from a cross between a Tyrannosaurus Rex and an Ankylosaurus.
