Third Earth is one of the habitable planets in the universe. It is orbited by two moons. The planet has a variety of weather conditions as well as environmental areas, ranging from dry and hot deserts to snowy cold mountains.
There are a number of different humanoid animal species and robots that live on the planet. Even though the origin of some of them is unknown, most of the animal species are descendants of animals who were kept as slaves by Mumm-Ra on board his spaceship. When the spaceship crashed on Third Earth, all the surviving animal species settled in various areas of the planet that were best suited to them.
