ThunderCats Roar is an American animated TV series produced for Cartoon Network by Warner Brothers Animation. The show premiered on February 22, 2020, and is the third television show in the ThunderCats franchise. While the 1980's and the 2011 series were more action-adventure oriented, "ThunderCats Roar" has a comedic tone and a highly-simplified cartoony look.

"ThunderCats Roar" was developed by Victor Courtright and Marly Halpern-Graser, both of whom have worked on "Disney XD" shows. The announcement of the show was made on May 18, 2018. While originally planned to debut in 2019, the show was delayed by a year. The first two episodes of the show were released on the "Cartoon Network" app on January 10, 2020.
Premise[]
The premise of "ThunderCats Roar" is very similar to that of the original 1980s show. The ThunderCats escape the destruction of Thundera and crash land on Third Earth where they encounter a number of strange beings including the arch-villain Mumm-Ra.
