ThunderCats Bullet Point.png Story[edit | edit source]

Mumm-Ra begs the Ancient Spirits of Evil to bestow the Sword of Plun-Darr upon him. The spirits oblige and draw the sword out from the depths of New Thundera. With the sword in his possession, Mumm-Ra’s only remaining objective is to find the Treasure of Thundera. He instructs Ma-Mutt to make the Snarfs work even harder to locate it.

Meanwhile, the ThunderCats arrive on New Thundera in the Feliner, making sure to park far away from the New Black Pyramid so that Mumm-Ra may not detect their presence before they have put their pan into action. Snarf and Snarfer insist that the ThunderCats should immediately free the Snarfs but Lion-O explains to them that stopping Mumm-Ra from getting the Sword of Plun-Darr and the Treasure of Thundera is more important.

Not wanting their fellow Snarfs to suffer a moment longer, Snarf and Snarfer steal some of the ThunderCats’ equipment and secretly sneak out in the night to rescue the Snarfs on their own. Unfortunately, their plan fails and they get captured by Mumm-Ra alog with Snarf Eggbert. Only Snarf Oswald escapes and manages to locate the ThunderCats, telling them all that has happened.

While on their way to rescue Snarf and Snarfer, the ThunderCats meet Snarfer, who is actually Mumm-Ra in disguise. The Mumm-Ra/Snarfer suggests that Lion-O should use the Sword of Omens’ “Sight Beyond Sight” to locate the Treasure of Thundera, which he does. As soon as the treasure is found, Mumm-Ra reveals his true self and uses the Sword of Plun-Darr to capture all the ThunderCats.
