ThunderCats Bullet Point Story[]

Assault on the Onyx Pyramid, part 1 of 2:[]

Written by James Hill
Art by Martin Griffiths, Dave Hine, Blib & Stuart Place

Mumm-Ra decides to set the ThunderCats straight by threatening their allies - so he goes and burns the Berbil Village. Enraged, Lion-O declares that the ThunderCats (except Wilykit and WilyKat who stay on Lair watch duty) will go to the Black Pyramid to confront Mumm-Ra once and for all.

The problem is, it's a lot tougher than they thought. Once inside, Mumm-Ra imprisons the ThunderCats and creates an illusion, so he can face Lion-O alone. But before he takes care of Lion-O, Mumm-Ra lets him see what has happened to his friends. Cheetara is trapped in a room with no windows or doors... and the walls are closing in. Panthro is in a devastated Warrior Maiden forest, devastated by robots he had been building to protect his friends. Tygra is back at his apartment on Thundera, letting a pair of attractive ThunderCats (Leopara and Cougara) convince him to relax and forget about Lion-O.

ThunderCats Bullet Point Features[]

  • Thunder-Chat letters page.
  • This edition sees the introduction of Fact Files. Panthro is profiled with place of birth, height, weight, eye and hair colour as well as backstory all alongside a large picture by Tommy Hylton and Dave Hine.
  • Mini-Poster No. 3 that was originally the comic cover artwork for ThunderCats # 9 by Steve Yeowell and Tim Perkins.

ThunderCats Bullet Point Trivia[]

  • This story has some strange choices for animation, with Willa looking very different from her canon portrayal and Tygra's "servants" wearing bikinis!
