ThunderCats Bullet Point Story[]

Tower of Traps, part 2 of 2:[]

Written by Dwight Jon Zimmerman
Art by Jose Delbo, Al Williamson, Ron Zalme & Petra Scotese

The adventure resumes with Lion-O pulling Wilykit out of the path of the rolling boulder. Calling to Wilykat, they realise that he is in the next room. Lion-O smashes through the wall and the three ThunderCats are reuinted at last. Then they hear Baron Karnor’s voice beckoning them into his chamber. They enter a room filled with gold and other treasures. Just as they realise that the figure on the throne is dead, a heavy metal door slams shut, trapping them inside. The ThuderCats make a rope from the necklaces they find and attach it to the Sword of Omens, throwing it at the domed ceiling. Before climbing the rope, Wilykit finds the Wollo traveller’s purse.

As soon as they reach the Black Tower’s roof, they are attacked by Gargoyles and Lion-O summons the other ThunderCats. Just as they are about to be overwhelmed, Wikykat sees a grapple and Tygra, Cheetara, and Panthro join the fight, quickly defeating the Gargoyles. As they travel home in the Thundertank, the ThunderCats make a detour to the Wollo village and Wilykit is able to give Kronus’ daughter her present, much to everyone’s delight.

ThunderCats Bullet Point Trivia[]

  • This issue contains reprinted panels from ThunderCats # 17 by Star Comics.
  • This issue is largely based on the original episode called Tower of Traps by Leonard Starr, this version has a few variations. Most notably this issue imparts the lesson that practical jokes, as Wilykat pulled on his sister in the previous issue, are not always a good idea.

ThunderCats Bullet Point Competition[]

In another competition, readers are invited to send in their name and address in a sealed envelope for a chance to win copies of Marvel Superheroes Adventure Gamebooks. Six sets are available.
