The adventure begins in the Black Pyramid where Mumm-Ra transforms into a new form capable of invading the ThunderCats’ dreams. That night, he appears in Panthro’s bedroom and rouses the ThunderCat’s dream self. Turning first his nunchucks and then the ThunderTank against him, Mumm-Ra is able to get Panthro under his control. Together, they subdue Cheetara, then Tygra, and finally the Thunderkittens. In the morning, all the ThunderCats except Lion-O and Snarf are feeling tired and clumsy when the Cats’ Lair is attacked. With its defences damaged, the cats rush to the ThunderTank to take on the attacking Mutant skycutters. They disable Jackalman’s machine but first Trygra and then Panthro fall asleep and the tank is wrecked...
