ThunderCats Bullet Point Story[]

Flight of the Netherwitch, part 1 of 2:[]

Written by Steve Alan
Art by Art Wetherell, Robin Bouttell, Dozy and Weasel

We return to the Thunderkittens who were last seen stuck on the Bridge of Slime (Issue 60). It emerges that they have been captured by the Netherwitch, who is looking to make Wilykat her apprentice. He turns out to be too cheeky for her liking, however, and when he saves Wilykit from the Swamp of Serpents against the witch's instructions, she transports their spirits to Fire Rock Mountain using the power of a Bloodstone. We also learn that there is a ThunderCat heading in their direction on the Hovercat, searching for the Bloodstones too...

Distress Signal:[]

Written by Steve Alan and Dan Abnett

The story continues with Termagar on a reconnaissance mission to investigate Destiny Atoll after the Tuskas saw the Berbil ship crash. Meanwhile, the Berbils have been salvaging a distress flare. When the young Thunderians see the Gomplin, they insist on firing it untested. When Ro-Bear Bob fires it, it is more powerful than intended. Termagar thinks he is under attack and fires on the five castaways. Bengali and Pumyra manage to wave him down and Termagar agrees to return to his base to fetch a rescue party. But when he departs, he is sucked downwards in a vortex that Lynx-O identifies as foul magic. So the Thunderians decide to set off and rescue their new friend.

ThunderCats Bullet Point Trivia[]

  • In the canon, the Netherwitch is merely a persona of Mumm-Ra when she appears in The Astral Prison episode. In Flight of the Netherwitch, she is a separate being.
  • Distress Signal is a continuing text based story which began in Issue 60 and is inspired by Thundercats HO! The Movie by Leonard Starr.
  • Throughout the Marvel ThunderCats comics, Turmagar is misspelt as Termagar!
