The
Way Outback is a rather small, star-shaped planet that is often referred to as an "island". The planet is used as a prison to contain dangerous criminals and keep them far away from inhabited planets like Third Earth. In this respect, the planet is similar to Grey Penal Planet and Exile Isle.
Whenever Captain Bragg apprehends any wanted criminal, he transports them to Way Outback where they spend the rest of their days in exile. The Mutants and the Lunataks are inmates on the planet.
